The Orb Menace Continues

Via LGM, some news we can use:
"Nobody was injured and I don't consider it an attack but it certainly it was a national security incident and something the Air Force said has never happen in their official policy documents," said Robert Salas, a former U.S. Air Force Nuclear Launch Officer.

Salas is speaking of a night in 1967, according to ABCNews.com, when he was on duty and
glowing red orbs
appeared outside the gates of the nuclear missile base. At the same time, the weapons were disabled. While the weapons were not damaged, he said it took a couple of days to rearm them.
There you have it: the government is hiding information about AGGRESSIVE COMMUNIST ORBS.

"Screaming red balloons" is an unexpectedly fruitful Google search.

"Screaming dead balloons" even more fruitful, but that's mainly hits on Yo La Tengo.

One thing I've always wondered. Do the proponents of alien visitation of planet earth believe that the alien technology is required to function within the laws of physics? Or do they believe that when technology becomes advanced to a sufficient degree, the physical laws that control the universe can be bypassed or exceeded?

Whenever I've asked them, the answers are vague at best, and many of them don't even understand the question.

So setting aside for a moment the time factor necessary for interstellar travel, exactly what sort of force could be used to 'disable' nuclear weapons in 1967. Pretty sure they didn't have onboard WiFi...

I believe it's "Guidelines of Physics."
