Good Will Thwarted

Over at Big Hollywood I AM BEING REPRESSED!

Really, all I wanted to do was leave a very positive and encouraging comment after reading this:
Sarah Palin would win a landslide just being herself if she allowed me and John Ziegler produce a “reality show” that follows the Governor and her family around 24/7.

Man. Itchy trigger finger much?

One can only wonder what they would have done had you said something actually offensive.

Maybe take down the whole site just to be safe?

Don't take chances in the flu season. Use entesol.

A game show where the contestants can win one of a range of natural disasters?
It hasn't reached New Zealand TV yet.

The truth is that we don't have TVs here. All we have is cardboard boxes with a window in the front, which we take turns to put over our heads and lip-synch while the rest of the family listens to the radio.

Man, I hate being Mary Wilson! She's so impolite.

You have cardboard boxes?

Politics is a highly intellectual, highly nuanced pursuit. YouTube some Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, and William F. Buckley clips and contrast that with the discussions on the Rachel Maddow show.

Why stop there? How about some C-span of James Inhofe, Michele Bachmann, and Jean Schmidt.

Oh. Never mind.

Y'know, if the thrust of this reality show is going to demonstrate that Palin is a competent governor...well that's a pretty goddamned dull show.

Was what is right above what your comment on Big Ho was? Or did you say something else?

Righteous Bubba said...

It was just a response to that mangled sentence written by Leigh Scott about how great the Palin Reality Experience would be.

I got banned for telling someone they'd be banned if they mentioned Scott Roeder, even in jest.

Righteous Bubba said...

Now that I look back it seems some regulars had their comments deleted. Perhaps I am still a Big Ho in good standing.

Rusty Shackleford said...

When you've been perma-banned the "This comment has been deleted..." message pops up instantly. Your post never appears.

Rusty Shackleford said...

Now it seems I've been de-banned over there. Hunh.

Righteous Bubba said...

I'm still on the ban list, too lazy to troll today.

Rusty Shackleford said...

For the life of me I can't figure out their criteria for deleting posts. Perfectly non-partisan, but jokey, comments are getting deleted. Weird. How does that build blog traffic?

Righteous Bubba said...

It limits traffic to the pure - given that they want the world to be more pure I'm sure they just figger their converts will eventually be a groundswell.

It just sucks to see perfectly good snark going to waste when there are billions of children going without snark every day in China.
